Righteousness Month is a festival for the month of August to encourage good virtues, peace, unity and self reflection for things that are pleasing to God. This project was started as a Christian event with a desire to bring people together in a lighthearted and colorful way that can be enjoyed by anyone from any background. The basic concept is to encourage others with art, music, friendly gatherings (be it online or in person), and anyway you feel lead to use your own unique talents to be a joyful light to others.
This project is meant to be something fun that you can share with anyone, even if it’s just two people in a park or online community. While the official time for the festival itself is August, the concept and virtues are something that you can use all year round! I don’t want anyone to feel turned away by social anxiety or any fear that they can’t participate due to health reasons (be it physical or mental). I also don’t want anyone to feel stressed or concerned that this project is associated with anything political or of a corporate institution. This project was created by one person, with a goal to bring peace, comfort, and healing, and as such I never desire to accept financial donations or turn this into an organization. It is a special holiday that anyone can participate how they see fit, with your own family or with friends, to reflect upon and promote virtues of honer, peace, humility, righteousness, and most importantly asking the question “What does God consider Holy?”
With that, I really hope this project at the least brings a smile to your face! If you feel so lead, please feel free to share with your friends or family or anyone you think might be interested! Or even if you don’t know anyone, just being able to participate through prayer or something simple by just doing a kind deed for another person in privet, that would mean the world to me!
