The Banners

Picture
As an artist, I often see my friends set up profile decorations and have fun creating art for communities they are apart of. Thus I was given inspiration for the banners. Something a person can hang up and be reminded of the virtues they represent. You can draw the colors, decorate, and just have fun!
Again, these are not meant to be something gimmicky. More or less a way to have fun while reconnecting with friends. Also to have something to look up to and be reminded about the ways of righteousness. And perhaps bring some comfort and a smile to your face.

The banners are never meant to be something "cheap". (Inexpensive does not equal cheap mind you.) They should always be crafted with care and respect for the honor that they represent. Also the notable feature that sets them apart is that they must always be shimmery! This can be from a reflective/metallic like cloth or with the use of glitter, whatever is best for you to obtain really. The main objective is to have something beautiful and shiny, set aside and respected with dignity.
And now, on to the banners and a brief description for each of them!

Conservation
God created the heavens and the earth for humanity to take care of. The animals, the creatures and all life here on this small marble are not things that people should worship, but also not disregard as worthless either.

I want to have a reminder that God cares very much about His creation. If the lives of this world matter to God, including the smallest sparrow, why not to us as well? The scriptures say "a righteous man regards the life of his animal" so we have a banner to represent that. And in good stewardship of creation, we remember to be hospitable to each other as well.
The definition of honor I feel is very similar to that of righteousness. To be honorable is to be just, upright, truthful and honest.

Here we have a banner of shimmery gold to serve as a reminder to live honorably. This means being kind even if someone is undeserving. Standing for truth, even if you are alone or will be mocked. Doing a good job, not because you will get paid but because it is the right thing to do.

Humility
A humble person is someone who puts others before themselves. Not to do good words for attention, but because in their heart they sincerely care for the other person.

Not a selfish love where they do things to get the warm fuzzies, but a selfless love for others out of genuine compassion of heart.

And in turn, the more love you give, the more love you receive as the spirit of the Lord is the one who gives true love.

The rainbow is historically a symbol for the promise God gave to Noah and the animals that He would never again cover the earth with a world wide flood. And at that time He also gave a promise with hope for the future that eventually things would be under a new covenant between man and the animals.

When I look to the sky I always think about God's promises for hope and a future of peace for everyone!

This particular banner is based off the colors of a "fire rainbow" a very specific type of rainbow that appears in clouds and almost has a fiery shine to it. Hence the white included in the rainbow represents both the clouds in the sky and promise of peace.

Purity
This banner represents purity of being washed white as snow, as well as the peace that comes from the Holy Spirit.

Being pure such as keeping yourself away from things that would lead others astray, like wild parties or speaking profane words. It is also keeping your eyes away from things that would cause corruption in your mind.

It's true that no one will ever be completely pure, and I don't ever wish to claim that I am. Sanctification is a long process that involves picking up the cross daily, so that you will be pure and blameless before others.
This banner has a very specific meaning with it's colors.
Earth, the color of skin, for humanity.
Void, the color of corruption, for sin.
Light, the color of life, for purification.
Blood, the color of sacrifice, for renewed life.

The story of how humanity has a corruption that tarnishes the soul, a separation that leads to death and pain. In order to be rescued an atonement was given so the soul might be washed white as snow. So no one may die but have everlasting life.
And with redemption, there is also forgiveness, so the evil is remembered no more.

Redemption
And finally we have the most reserved of the banners.

Banner of Christ's Love
This particular banner is one meant to be set aside, for more respectful situations and holiness. While all the banners are meant to be cared for with respect, this one in particular I feel should be reserved the most.
The colors are inspired from the tabernacle, a representation of God's glory and unconditional love.
A pure love that humbles oneself, that is honorable, pure, keeps to their word, a steward of hospitality, and forgives iniquities. To quote the Patterson family motto:
“I die for those I love”

Below is a ZIP file containing assets and the banner color palettes for reference! These exact colors have not been optimized for RBG color printing so I may work on creating printer friendly versions if there is a need. In the mean time, hopefully this is useful in creating digital artwork or for finding materials.
